We report a case of pacemaker lead dislodgment caused by tunneled dialysis catheter (TDC) insertion. TDC placement is a routine radiologic-guided procedure performed to facilitate hemodialysis. Complications of central venous catheters may occur early or late. At our institution, no bioethi-cal approval is required for case reports such as this, and the principles of the Declaration of Helsinki were followed. A 78-year-old man with paroxysmal atrial fibrillation and sick sinus syndrome had a left subclavian dual-chamber pacemaker implanted in September 2010, with one lead within the right atrium and the other lead within the right ventricular apex (Figure, a). The patient underwent placement of a hemodialysis catheter in July 2011 for treatment of chronic renal failure secondary to diabetes. At that time, his pacemaker and leads had been in situ for 10 months. '
