Testicular ischemia following endovascular infrarenal abdominal aortic aneurysm repair: a rare complication.

The use of endovascular aneurysm repair (EVAR) has greatly increased in frequency. With the increased use of EVAR in the treatment of infrarenal abdominal aortic aneu-rysms (AAAs), the complication profile has become better defined. Endoleak remains the most frequent complication, but several ischemic complications have also been described. We report a case of testicular ischemia and subsequent in- farction following EVAR. As this report on a rare EVAR complication was being prepared, a very similar report was published by McKenna et al (1) in the Journal of Vascular Surgery. Institutional review board approval is unnecessary for retrospective case reports such as this at our institution.
