Closed Cycles of Final Cooling of Coke-Oven Gas in Byproduct Coke Plants

In chemical-recovery sections of byproduct coke plants, during final cooling the coke-oven gas enters into direct contact with water; upon cooling in the cooling tower toxic substances are emitted into the atmosphere, such as ammonia, hydrogen cyanide, hydrogen sulfide, etc. Apart from the components indicated, from the water there are partially blown off naphthalene and benzene hydrocarbons.For environmental protection, it is necessary either to eliminate or to significantly reduce harmful emissions in final gas coolers.
