Percutaneous transluminal coronary angioplasty in cardiogenic shock without intra-aortic balloon pump

Extensive damage of viable myocardium usually causes cardiogenic stock. A case of cardiogenic shock successfully treated by rescue PTCA without a balloon pump in a non-diabetic, normotensive, 50 years old male patient is reported here.
