摘要

The requirements set up by producers of pig iron for the improvement and stabilization of the quality of blast-furnace coke are not satisfied (and cannot be satisfied) because of the actual technical conditions of its production: a substantial impairment of the coal feedstock base for coking and the physical wear of coke-oven batteries. Therefore, the primary problem for producers of metallurgical coke in the near future is the preservation and stabilization of the existing level of the consumer properties of coke.In connection with the predicted impairment of the feedstock base for coking it is necessary to stabilize the operation of the SP-PMS device in the second block, to restore the two-stage scheme with the possible removal of the high-ash product from the cycle and also to start up PMS devices according to the design scheme in the third block.The limiting factors for improvement and stabilization of the properties of coke is dry quenching and the treatment of wet-quenched coke outside the oven.
