Complexes of some bivalent metal ions with phenylthiohydrazide (pthH) and p-anisidylthiohydrazide (pathH) of the general formula, ML_2(M = Cu~II, Ni~II, Zn~II, Cd~II, Hg~II or Pb~II and LH = pthH or pathH), [M(LH)cL_2] ( M = Cu~II, Cd~II or Hg~II and LH= pthH or pathH) nd [Ni(LH)_2]X_2 (LH = pthH or pathH) and X=Cl or 1/2 SO_4~(2-) have been prepared and characterised.
