摘要

We present numerical results for two artificial magnetic metamaterial inclusions, an edge-coupled (EC) and a broadside-coupled (BC) split-ring resonator (SRR) with negative effective permeability. The electromagnetic characteristics of these two inclusions are analyzed and estimated by using the phases, transmission/reflection, and complex magnetic permeability on the basis of both theoretical and numerical approaches. From the results, we prove that the BCSRR shows a higher-Q characteristic and a lower resonant frequency than those of the ECSRR. Finally, we propose a BCSRR application with a high-Q characteristic.
