This paper presents a hybrid fuzzy logic controller for speed control of switched reluctance motor (SRM) Classical PID controllers fail to perform satisfactorily under non4inearity, load disturbances, and parameter variations. In this paper, the performance of SRM is examined with a hybrid fuzzy controller. Here, the proportional (P) term of the classical PID controller is replaced with an incremental fuzzy logic controller. The paper describes the modelling and simulation of hybrid fuzzy logic controlled SRM drive system. The simulated results of the proposed controller show improved performance of SRM as compared to classical PID control action.
