摘要

In this paper we report work on an automatic control and interface system for instruments based on diode-pumped solid-state lasers delivering laser pulses with adjustable pulse parameters. The system has been developed using microcontroller C8051F120 of Silicon laboratories, a high-end variant of MCS-51 family of microcontrollers. The system performs functions of reference waveform synthesis, system monitoring and provides various safety interlocks for the safety of the instrument and also the user. The controller provides a friendly user interface using a QVGA color-TFT display with touch control. The controller has been interfaced and tested with diode-pumped solid-state laser with pulse parameters adjustable over a wide range. The laser power can be adjusted from 50mW to 1W, the pulse duration from 50 ms to 5s and the interval from 50ms to 5s.
