Seed Germination Analysis Using Image Processing Techniques

摘要

During germination, a seed changes its biological structure passing from a quiescent stage to a proliferating one and any morphological change can be associated with the corresponding variation of seed geometry. This paper presents the review of methods of Digital image processing used in seed technology. The methods discussed in this paper reveal about the seed vigour testing by monitoring the changes observed during the seed germinating phases i.e. on seed coat and shoot length.
