摘要

In Nuclear fuel Reprocessing plants, Smart Differential Pressure (DP) transmitters are used in measurement of process tank liquid level, liquid density and tank pressure. Over a period of time, ageing of components inside the transmitter results in drift (error). The calibration frequency of the transmitter is decided by the Accuracy requirement of the process in which it is installed, Total Probable Error (TPE) of the transmitter (from manufacturer's specification), Long term stability (from manufacturer's specification) of the transmitter. The calibration of smart DP transmitters with trimming helps in correcting the sensor (including Analog to Digital Converter (ADC)) and analog output section of the transmitter of their inaccuracies found in them. This paper will discuss the calibration of smart transmitter with trimming, highlighting the benefits to the industry.
