摘要

This paper describes the design and development of a Low dc Voltage Monitoring and data logging system to monitor the dc voltages used in high energy physics experiments. The hardware and software developments of this system are presented in this paper. The hardware is built around a microcontroller which reads the voltages, checks for their tolerance, display the status and turn-on a buzzer if voltages are beyond tolerance. The software has been developed using C language. Optionally, the monitored data could also be displayed on the PC screen as well as recorded in a file via serial port. A prototype system was designed and tested at High Energy Gamma Ray Observatory, Pachmarhi and found to work satisfactorily. Later, this system was installed in the High Altitude Gamma Ray experiment at Hanle (Ladakh), for monitoring the low dc supply voltages of six instrumentation bins and ambient temperature.
