摘要

Developing antennas having small size has always been a challenge in applications like medical Imaging. Taking this objective in mind, in this work, a miniaturized hovel microstrip antenna has been proposed. Increasing the path-length of surface current by incorporating various slots on the patch surface has been taken as approach of miniaturization. Continuously changing the structure of slots, effect on resonant frequency has been investigated step by step. Finally incorporating slot in the form of split ring (SR), significant reduction in size is observed. This type of antennas will be quite useful for applications where space is a constraint.
