The device changes between antennas according to criteria other than useful signal parameters. A mechanical/electrical interface for generating control pulses for changing between antennas interacts mechanically with various mechanical structural elements of the vehicle and is electrically connected to the receiver. The device changes between antennas according to criteria other than depending on parameters of the useful signal and the radio receiver has a socket (7.1) for supplying voltage to an antenna motor. A mechanical/electrical interface (5) for generating control pulses for changing between antennas (3,4) interacts mechanically with various mechanical structural elements of the vehicle and is electrically connected to the receiver. An evaluation module (7.2) step changes the motor voltage depending on the control pulses from the interface, starting from 0 in a number of steps corresponding to the number of antennas. A switch module (8) for the antenna change depends on the voltage applied to the socket.
