摘要

This paper addresses the issues regarding design and implementation of a base band OFDM (Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing) transmitter on FPGA hardware. This paper also discusses on developing design of OFDM using Fast Fourier Transform (FF T) and Inverse Fast Fourier Transform (IFFT), design of a mapping module, serial to parallel and parallel to serial converter module. This design uses 8-point FFT and IFFT for the processing module which indicate that the processing block contain 8 inputs data. All modules can be designed using VHDL programming language and implemented using SPRTRAN III board. Architectural descriptions and simulation results for the OFDM transmitter blocks are part of the paper. The board is connected to computer through serial port and JTAG is used to provide interface between user and the hardware. All processing is executed in SPRTRAN III board and user only requires giving the inputs data to the hardware throughout JTAG Input and output data is displayed to computer and the results are compared using Matlab software.
