Development of process disturbance analyzer for nuclear reactor

This paper describes the independent Process Disturbance Analyzer (PDA) for 500 MWe Prototype Fast Breeder Reactor (PFBR). The various parameters that assist safe operation of reactor are to be monitored to aid the post event analysis of the plant as well as to operate the reactor safely. When an analog signal crosses a set point, status of digital signal changes or combination of both, is defined as an "Event". The PDA is used for detecting, recording and analyzing these disturbances occurring in Nuclear Power Plant.
