摘要

The transferability of specimen J-R curve to component level is an unresolved issue that currently receives a lot of attention among researchers. Using J-T approach, the present study has been carried out on 406 mm outer diameter circumferentially through wall cracked (TWC) pipes to predict the limiting load, which will cause fracture instability. The applied elastic-plastic J-integral is obtained by 3D non- linearfinite element analysis using advanced fracture analysis code WARP 3D and by using] estimation scheme. The J-T analyses results are found to have good comparison with the maximum experimental load.
