Relevance of Condition Based Maintenance Onboard a Ship

摘要

Ibis paper highlights the relevance of condition-based maintenance onboard a ship which involves regular monitoring of equipment and is aimed at forestalling breakdown by predicting probable failure of the system. This paper also describes the condition-based monitoring which has been found to be quite efficient onboard ship due to random nature of many failures.
