SPECTROPHOTOMETRY DETERMINATION OF CU (II) WITH 1 - (2'- METHYL -4' SULPHOPHENYL) -3-METHYL -4- AZO (4' SULPHONAMIDOPHENYL) -5- PYRAZOLONE DYE -1

摘要

In the present work Dye -1 is synthesized and studied in spectrophotometric determination of Cu(II). Sodium salts of 1 -(2'- methyl - 4'- sulphophenyl) -3- methyl -4 -azo (4" sulphonamidophenyl) - 5 - pyrazolone (Dye - I) was prepared by coupling 1-(2'-methyl -4'- sulphophenyl) -3 - methyl - 5 - pyrazolone with diazotized sulphanilamide. 1% solution of the reagent was prepared by dissolving the requisite amount of salt in double distilled water and standardized titrimetrically. Experimental solutions were prepared by suitable dilutions of the stock solutions.
