Deteriorating Soil Health and Its Management for Higher Crop Production

I consider it a great previlage to deliver the 7th Dr. R.R. Agarwal Memorial Leclrue for which I express my sincere thanks to the Indian Society of Soil Science in general and to Sabour chapter in particular, for inviting me to deliver this lecture. Dr. Agarwal's pioneering contributions in research and development of soil survey; soil fertility and nutrient management; and management of salt-affected soils have been the laudable land marks in the field of Soil Science. Dr. Agarwal's significant contributions provided vast avenues for future research and development. To pay tribute to Dr. Agarwal from the core of my heart, I have chosen the topic entitled "Deteriorating Soil Health and its Management for Higher Crop Production" for this lecture.
