Integrated Soil Tillage and Nutrient Management - A Way to Sustain Crop Production, Soil-Plant-Animal-Human Health and Environment

I feel greatly privileged and truly honoured by the invitation of Indian Society of Soil Science to deliver the prestigious 38* Dr. R.V. Tamhane Memorial Lecture at the 76th Annual Convention of the Society during 16-19 November 2011 at Dharwad. Dr. Tamhane made outstanding contributions for the development of Soil Science, more specifically for conservation of soil resources, a topic which is close to my heart since the time I was a student of agriculture. Thus, as a tribute to him, I have chosen to speak on a broader topic of sustaining soil and water resources and the environment.
