摘要

The reductive voltammetric behaviour of iprodione has been investigated using the advanced electrochemical techniques such as d.c. polarography, cyclic voltammetry, differential pulse polarography, controlled potential electrolysis and millicoulometry. A single four electron polarographic wave has been observed over the pH range from 2.0 to 6.0 due to the simultaneous reduction of two carbonyl groups forming a hydroxy compound. The concentration dependence of the voltammetric reduction response has been measured which reveals the diffusion controlled electrode process. Cyclic voltammetric experiments indicate that the electrode reactions could be irreversible and the peak heights show linear dependence upon the square root of scan rate. Millicoulometric experiments are performed successfully in estimating the number of electrons and protons to understand the reduction mechanism. Differential pulse polarography (DPP) has been investigated as an linear concentration ranges for iprodione in formulations and water samples. The linear concentration ranges for iprodione from 1.05' 10~(-5) to 2.5' 10~(-9) M. The lower detection limit is found to be 2.25' 10~(-9) M.
