In 2000, the American Medical Directors Association (AMDA) Foundation and Janssen, LP, formed a partnership that created the Futures Program, an intensive learning experience designed to expose residents and fellows to the numerous career opportunities available in long-term care. Applicants who are postgraduate year (PGY) II or III Internal Medicine or Family Practice Residents or PGY IV or V Geriatric Medicine Fellows must prepare a competitive application that includes a letter of recommendation.
