As a qualified individual, albeit without credentials, I approach the topic of "Managing Your Economic Future" from a different perspective—that is, in part, as a consumer of veterinary services. In my spare time, I am a horse owner and have been for30 years. As such, I have been guilty of nearly every sin committed against a veterinarian, including the horse not being caught when the veterinarian shows up; attempting to doctor the animal myself first; and, yes, even the dreaded emergency Coggins test. As a horse owner, I realize that only a small percentage of your clients can evaluate your skills as veterinarians. However, ail of them can evaluate whether or not you are on time and how well you communicate with them.
