A carbide tool for forming largedeformation-gradient internal surface of a workpiece by cold plastic deformation

The paper presents a process of the formation of precision holes with a considerable deformation gradient in components like a stator of a gerotor pair by cold plastic deformation. We describe tools and attachments which allow one to produce holes of an intricate axisymmetric profile of a given shape to an accuracy of 0.05 mm by inducing a local deformation in the radial direction.
