The previous review of this system by [1992Rag] presented a partial isothermal section at 1200 deg C and a full section at approx 599 deg C. Recently, [1997Oht] used new experimental results to compute a full isothermal section at 1200 deg C. The Cu-Fe phase diagram reviewed by [1993Swa] shows no intermediate phases. The Cu-Sn phase diagram reviewed by [1990Sau] depicts six intermediate phases; however, at the temperature of our interest here (1200 deg C), no solid phase is stable in this system. In the Fe-Sn system [1993Oka], there are four intermediate phases: Fe_5Sn_3, Fe_3Sn_2, FeSn, and FeSn_2. At 1200 deg C, none of these phases is stable.
