Psychologically, others have classified these groups as technology enthusiasts (innovators), visionaries (early adopters), pragmatists (early majority), conservatives (late majority), and skeptics (laggards). Moore proposed that, for various reasons, there exists a chasm between the early adopters and the early majority and the success of any technological innovation depends on the capability of the technology to cross this chasm.
