Limit state coefficients for trapezoidal-shaped slabs supported on three sides

摘要

A trapezoidal reinforced concrete balcony slab can be analyzed and designed by using yield line method proposed by Johansen. Many researchers using yield line method published many papers on analysis and design of rectangular balcony slabs in the past. However, in this paper, some virtual work equations for selected cases are presented. Analysis and design examples are also presented using tables/charts generated for various parameters of trapezoidal shape balcony slabs.
