Rising raw material and energy costs,as well as ever-changing environmental regulations,have today's suppliers facing tough decisions in order to maintain quality requirements in paint adhesion and corrosion resistance.The chemistry of a zinc phosphate applied to a substrate prior to electrocoating has not seen any significant changes in the past 20 years since the introduction of the current tri-cationic conversion coating.However,suppliers are seeing changes on the horizon driven by raw material and energy costs.
