Studies on the Incidence of Repeat Breeding in the Organised Farms

The overall incidence of repeat breeding in cross-bred cattle was 16.82%. The incidence was highest in February (23.52%) and lowest in June (11.90%). The maximum incidence of repeat breeding was recorded during monsoon (23.80%) followed by winter (14.86%) and summer (13.63%) season. The incidence of repeat breeding was also recorded maximum (42.85%) in first parity as compared to other parities. Abnormal calving had significant (P <= 0.01) influence on the incidence of repeat breeding.
