In the last 15 yers, UHP aterjetting (at pressures above 30,000 psi (2,000 bar]) has become a commercially viable method for removing coatings from large steel structures. This is done both with robotic and hand-held tools. The heartof each system is the UHP pump, which pressurises the water and delivers it to the tools.
