Few areas in surgery have witnessed such a steep growth trajectory as advancements in plastic surgery. Conceptual and technical advances in our specialty through evolutionary and revolutionary mechanisms, now firmly entrenched in medical evidence, are some of the most illustrious and diversified in the history of medicine. It is no wonder that so many medical students very early in their clinical upbringing develop a passion for plastic surgery and choose to devote their careers to this uniquely diverse specialty.
