A conical bubble straight tube apparatus has been set up to study sonoluminescence for water. The single optical flash produced by the straight tube consists of several bundles of light pulses spreading within 3000 mu s. The achieved spectrum consists in a broad continuum background that is well matched by 5500 K blackbody radiation, on which two clear bands of spectrum are superimposed. The higher value of bubble volume probably accounts for the good fit to the blackbody emission. In addition, the resonance line and satellite band of sodium have been detected in water saturated with sodium chloride. Results show that the sodium chloride causes great disturbance to the blackbody radiation for conical bubble luminescence.
