摘要

Natural radiative lifetimes of 64 odd-parity moderately excited levels of neutral samarium in the energy range from 21 243.3 to 34 723.16 cm~(-1) have been measured by the time-resolved laser-induced fluorescence (LIF) technique in an atomic beam produced by laser ablation. Lifetime values in the range from 11.8 to 550.1 ns are obtained. A comparison with a few previously reported values is performed and good agreement between them has been achieved. The measured results in this paper are useful for determination of the oscillator strengths of transitions in Sm I.
