Ectopic Ureter With Renal Agenesis and Associated Normal Ipsilateral Urinary Tract

We report a rare case of an ectopic ureter with renal agenesis and associated normal ipsilateral urinary tract in an adult patient. A 49-year-old woman presented with dull left flank pain, intermittent seropurulentvaginal discharge, and periodic symptomatology of recurrent urinary tract infection. The ectopic ureter was revealed after vaginoscopy and retrograde ureterography through the ectopic vaginal orifice, whereas magnetic resonance imaging confirmed the diagnosis and helped to plan the optimal surgical approach. A complete ureterectomy was performed and was successful in restoring the patients' health.
