As the US Congress considers a multi-billion-dollar economic stimulus bill with provisions to boost green energy, Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee Chairman Jeff Bingaman said he also plans to bring up a comprehensive energy policy bill early in 2009. "Clearly, there are a number of important energy measures that can be implemented quickly and will provide green jobs, result in significant energy savings and enhance the infrastructure needed to move to a clean energy economy," the New Mexico Democrat said Wednesday.
