Georgia Power's 3,160-MW coal-fired Bowen power plant, shut after a Thursday afternoon explosion, has stopped taking coal shipments and will remain idle until the company determines the cause of an explosion at one of the plant's units, utility spokesmen said Friday. "We have suspended deliveries into the plant and are evaluating when they need to resume," GP spokesman John Kraft said Friday.
