Effect of moisture stress at various physiological stages on growth, yield and nutrient uptake by groundnut (Arachis hypogaea L.)

In Orissa about 50 percent of total groundnut area is in rabi season with the productivity of 1086 kg/ha. The crop is mostly irrigated, but moisture stress at different physiological stages has reported to decrease the productivity of the crop (Pathak et al., 1988; Chapman et al., 1993). Rational application of water will therefore increase the area and productivity of the crop.
