We report a case of a 63-year-old man admitted in our unit for etiological assessment of chronic anemia and melena. At the admission, the hemoglobin level was 90g/L and there was no hyper eosinophilia. Physical examination showed signs of anemia. The interview of the patient concluded that his diet did not contain any porcine products. After a normal upper endoscopy and ileocoloscopy, capsule endoscopy (CE) was performed and revealed white particles attached to the intestinal mucosa with bleeding on contact resembling the tapeworm (Fig. 1). However, stool test did not show any eggs or parasite. The patient was treated by a single 600-mg dose of Praziquantel. After elimination, the'parasite was confirmed to be Taem'a saginata and six months later, the patient presented with a normal level of hemoglobin.
