摘要

Micro-organisms viz, fungi, bacteria and actinomycetes are associated with the pea seeds during storage, affecting their germination, causing rotting of seedlings and also cause diseases in standing crop. The infected seeds serve as a primary source of inoculum. Seed disinfection is one of the most economic and effective methods of controlling seed-borne diseases. During the investigation different fungicides evaluated so that treated pea seeds can store for good germination and reduced storage microorganisms. The method is simple in execution and inexpensive in application. Seed treatment has achieved phenomenon results in reducing losses caused by a variety of diseases with enhancement of quality and quantity in yields (Dharmvir 1968, 1981).
