The efficacy of the following treatments in the reduction of Fusarium wilt (Fusarium oxysporum f.sp. dianthi) in carnation (cv. Master) was evaluated under greenhouse conditions: neem (Azadirachta indica) cake, neem granules, cabbage leaves, darek (Melia azedarach) seed meal or karu (Roylea elegans) combined with Bacillus subtilis or Trichoderma viride. The plant materials were applied at 1.0 kg/m2 each except the neem granules (50.0 g/m2), whereas the biological control agents were applied at 6.0 x 106 cfu/kg each. All the treatments significantly reduced the disease incidence and enhanced plant growth compared to the control. Darek seed meal + T. viride was the most effective, as it resulted in the greatest percent disease reduction (85.7%), and greatest increases in stem length, plant height, number of flowers per plant and flower size (35.7, 32.6, 34.4 and 31.9%, respectively).
