Mining of extraterrestrial bodies in the near future

Mining asteroids has always been a craze for space enthusiasts. Till date, men have approached the outer space only for the sake of curiosity-driven exploration. If large-scale extraterrestrial mining is materialized, then there shall be increased number of interactions with outer space for humans. However, as of present, the idea of extraterrestrial mining does not have firm ground, but based on inferences drawn from several compelling factors it can be anticipated that in the not too distant future mining of extraterrestrial bodies shall become an industrial practice.
