摘要

CaSn(OH)(6) as a new additive to zinc anode was prepared by coprecipitation method ne properties of the samples were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), cyclic voltammetry (CV) employing powder microelectrode technique, and charge-discharge cycle measurement of simulated Ni/Zn cells. XRD patterns and SEM indicated that the sample was well dispersed particles with high purity and an average size of about 1 mu m. The results of XRD patterns and electrochemical tests revealed that the addition of CaSn(OH)(6) in zinc electrode could give Sn metal and Ca(OH)(2) at charging, and Ca(OH)(2) continued to react with ZnO to produce calcium zincate, which could highly reduce the dissolvability of zinc active materials and had greatly improved the cycleability of zinc electrode.
