Composites such as polypyrrole/carboximethyl cellulose (Ppy/CMC) have been of great interest in the last few years. This kind of composites have some advantage with respect to other polymers. These advantages are: a great storage charge [1,2]; good optical properties [3]; stability against high potential and temperature etc. [4] numerous reports on the application of composites as useful materials have appeared recently [5,6]. It becomes clear that the surface energetic and surface states play an important role in the range of applicability of these and other materials, such as the case of semiconductors [7].
