Apropos knowledge and attitudes of adult Peruvian women vis-a-vis human papillomavirus, cervical cancer, and the human papillomavirus vaccine.

We agree with the recommendation to educate adult Peruvian women population about human papilloma-virus (HPV), cervical cancer, and HPV vaccine [1]. Quadrivalent HPV vaccine could be offered to boys, and girls, at an early age before sexual activity. The quadrivalent HPV vaccine has been highly efficacious in the prevention of genital warts and precancerous lesions of the cervix, vulva, and vagina in women as well as in the reduction of external genital lesions in young men [2].
