Calcium carbonate (CaCC>3), which is produced on a large scale in nature, has many practical applications as an industrial material. As powder, it is often used for toothpastes, rubbers, plastics, paints, papers etc. Furthermore, CaCC>3 solids such as marble and coral are used for building and ornamental materials. The methods for preparing CaCC>3 powders are well established [1,2]. However, there is almost no synthesis route for preparing CaCC>3 solids [3].
