摘要

Oxide materials with high thermoelectric figure of merit (Z = S2OK-1 where 5, o, and ;c are Seebeck coefficient, electrical conductivity, and thermal conductivity, respectively) are very suitable for long-term use at high temperatures in air for thermoelectric energy conversion. The possibility of thermoelectric applications has been investigated on several highly conductive oxides such as transition metal oxides with the perovskite structure [1,2], high. superconducting cuprates [3], and transparent conductors [4-6]. The values of the figure of merit estimated on these materials were almost 1O-5-1O-4 K-1. In order to develop oxide materials with a high enough figure of merit to be practically useful, further investigations are required.
