摘要

A thick-walled ring is considered as a Timoshenko curved beam. For the latter, using the plane section hypothesis, stress distribution over the section and the movements of median surface points are calculated. The expression of the cracked band weight function is used to determine the stress intensity factor, displacement discontinuities, and angles in the proximity of the crack. Determining the stress intensity factor is discussed, and comparison with other research in the field is provided. We offer a simplified approach and provide an application of this method for symmetrically located cracks.
