Brazil--Steel production and demand are expected to rise dramatically

Brazil will be one of the world's largest steel producing countries in 2013, but it also will be a region with a growing, high demand for steel products, according to Citi Investment Research. Johan Rode, a research analyst for Citi Investment, said that global demand for steel is shifting from the United States and Europe to economies in the Middle East, Brazil, Russia, India and China. Rode said that by 2013, the aforementioned countries will consume more than 50 percent of all steel produced.
