The Steel Authority of India abandoned a deal to purchase more than 1.0 million tonnes of U.S.metallurgical coal and it appears shipping costs were the deal sinker.As reported in the last issue of Coal Americas,SAIL and three U.S.suppliers-Massey Energy,Alpha Natural Resources and Logan and Kanawha were well advanced in negotiations.
